Hi there! I’m Kristina Van Holland, the artist and designer behind Painted Blueprint. I’m a self-taught artist who was born in Russia, adopted into the United States, and now happily based in beautiful Denver, CO. Even though I’ve moved around quite a bit, art, design, and creativity have always been the constants that help me express myself and connect with others.

With a background as a full-time architect and interior designer, I’ve spent years blending structure and creativity. That experience has shaped how I approach painting—balancing detail, emotion, and composition to create pieces that feel right at home in any space.

As both an artist and pet owner, my goal is to capture the personality and soul of your best friend through expressive, detailed animal portraits. I know firsthand—thanks to my two cats, Barsik and Lisa—just how much joy these furry family members bring into our lives. My pet portraits are designed to reflect that love and to fit beautifully into your home’s interior design, becoming meaningful pieces of décor that make you smile every day.

I also have a passion for wedding paintings that capture the emotion, beauty, and energy of a couple’s special day. Each piece serves as a timeless keepsake, filled with color and feeling, while complementing the design and atmosphere of your home.

When I’m not working on portraits or weddings, I love a creative challenge. I take on all kinds of commissioned projects—from custom oil paintings and murals to bespoke wallpaper and interior design collaborations. I enjoy bringing each client’s story and vision to life, creating art that’s personal, expressive, and perfectly tailored to their space.
